Official OTA Android 2.2 Froyo update for Nexus One starts to roll out

Android OS, Google Android, HTC-Nexus One
Looks like last night and the wee hours of the morning some AT&T and T-Mobile Nexus One owners got a little Froyo update treat. This time Android 2.2 Froyo is official as Google themselves have acknowledged the update on the Nexus One blog.
The update moves the phone from Android 2.1 ERE27 to FRF85 and has been a much anticipated upgrade for the Nexus One. This Froyo upgrade is the first “official” upgrade of any Android device as the Nexus One is the anointed ”Google Phone”. The features that are the most pervasive are the ability to create a WiFi hotspot from your phone using your data connection (yes, for free), robust Exchange support, Adobe Flash 10.1 in the browser, better camera and gallery, multiple input languages, and speedier performance.
It’s good news that 2.2 is finally rolling out to as many N1 owners have been clammering and wondering when the update would happen. If you haven’t got it yet keep a look out in your notification tray for an over-the-air update. Also, if you are super impatient and somewhat of an Android know-it-all, follow the link to Google’s servers and grab the official update package here.
And by the way, let us know how Froyo turns out, will you?

Got the update last night on my unlocked ATT Nexus One. Love the new features that Froyo has to offer. The only thing that I've noticed is that the battery drains a lot faster. I usually don't have a whole lot things open besides email and messaging. I've even killed off applications that I've opened just in case. But in the span of 2 1/2 hours, the battery is down to 79%. I'm sure that I'll find something that's draining it, I hope. In the meantime, if I don't, I'm sure other N1 users from ATT will notice and Google will send out an update when they have the chance! But damn it's fast!!!
So far so good! although not many apps seem to support being moved to the SD card :/
I have an unlocked Nexus One on T-Mobile and I have done a “checkin” but I am still waiting for my update as of 6/30/2010 at 7:55pm… (P.S. I am running stock 2.1 and and am not rooted)
Still waiting too Bridget! They said by the end of the week most will have it, I hope im in the "most"!
Not ota yet I am currently on frf50 2.2
No update yet. Hope it is soon. Running stock 2.1.
Just got update FrF91 at 1:30 am.
got the ota notification but it's been stuck on that triangle exclamation screen for a really long time, is this normal it's been like a half hour now my phone is rooted but stock
Got my OTA this morning when i turned my phone on. FRF91…DAMN its sweet and FAST. Think it also gave me more ram (i doubt it) but before the update I had about 75 MB when i restarted i had about 101MB.
Take out your battery and the let your phone restart. Them go. To settings and redownload. Should work.
No dice on the battery-restart plan. Still stuck in 2.1 land. (N1, stock)
Incidentally, the above link to the manual install is dead:

My install did the same thing. Once the phone restarted I went back into system update and it started to download again. I hope you get it figured out its a pretty sweet update.
Actually, it never started. I think your situation is a bit different.
