It’s long overdue, but the title says it all: ESPN Scorecenter for Android is live. Long a sorespot for iPhone users who migrated to Android and jealous Android users wishing the Worldwide Leader in Sports would throw them a bone, the Scorecenter app is now available for download.
Scorecenter is an application that tracks the scoreline and schedules of sporting events. Near real-time scores and schedules are included in the app, and there’s also a slide-up “Top Events” section that reveals the must-watch games of the day, including recaps and previews. However, several activities for tracking live events and seeing recaps are launched in the Android browser rather than the official app.
Users can also create a “myTeams” tab that tracks the activities of their favorite squads in several sports, including the NFL/NCAA football, NBA/NCAA basketball, various soccer leagues and international tournaments, Formula1 Racing, and, more. They can also use a 4×2 widget that shows upcoming or current matches of a favorite team. Here are a few screenshots I just snapped.
