Foodies, chefs, and hometown cooks alike can finally access something they’ve been waiting on for quite some time apparently: Epicurious. I can only cook three things and had no idea what Epicurious was until 10 minutes ago when you people decided to start telling me that it’s out, so maybe I ought to share the news with everyone else.
Epicurious is a cooking website focused on discovering recipes and new ways to cook. There’s a massive list of ways to discover recipes for breakfast, dessert, cocktails, healthy lunches, snacks, and dinners. The best part of it all is that you can distinguish between being allergic to a stove beginner or a seasoned vet of seasoning.
Epicurious also has:
- Detailed instructions for nearly 30,000 recipes
- Search to find recipes based on keywords
- Mark items as favorites for easy access
- Create a shopping list to remember which ingredients to buy
Download Epicurious from the Android Market.

QR code isn't working and can't find it in the Market on FroYo.
Wasn't this already available on Android?
No. I think it just popped up today. I've been looking for this for Android since it came out for the iPad.
This is the first official app (it only had 50 downloads when the tips came in). as for being unable to see it, it's PROBABLY because the current build of Froyo doesn't show a lot of copy-protected apps.
This sends me to a Green Day app.
Can't search on my hero.
It's a very poor app. No ability to change units of measurements, no ability to exit the app, and doesn't work in landscape mode. Uninstalled.
