Android 2.2 can’t come soon enough as far as many Nexus One users are concerned. Sure, everyone is waiting on 2.2, but recent history shows that there’s no guarantee anyone other than Nexus One owners will quickly see it after Google I/O.
Impatient Android users may have inadvertently spotted their first glimpse of Android 2.2 in a video by Adobe evangelist Ryan Stewart. Aside from showing off how well Flash performs on sites like Google Finance, CBS videos, and NHL, Stewart shows what looks to be the next version of Android’s homescreen. At the end of Stewart’s video, this image comes up:

This is rumored to be Android 2.2. The new homescreen would include a redesigned search widget, a new launcher, and a tutorial for new arrivals. Throw in built-in Flash support expected to come with 2.2 and the suggestion that a Froyo statue has arrived at the Googleplex, we may be in for some exciting times next week.

Spam much?!
I am drooling. Come to me, 2.2…come to me.
I am the one who discovered this. You are welcome internets. =)
As a nexus one user, I can finally said I am glad that I choose nexus one over much hyped Droid incredible. Verizon released that just three week after I got my nexus one.
Daft question possibly but will my 2.1 desire auto update to this or will it work like the die!phone and leave us with tiers of usability?
Sorry, Lanners, but you will have to wait a while. HTC needs to update their code for all Sense ROM's, test it, and then send it out, meaning the Desire will have to wait a while to get an update.
