In a day that saw update agony for Hero users in Europe and piqued interests for Nexus One users, Motorola Milestone owners on the TELUS network will be able to grab an update for Android 2.1. It’s not an over the air update and Motorola says that all third-party media (music, photos, apps, etc.) stored on the phone will be deleted. However, that’s a small price to pay for finally getting a version update that everybody else has been waiting on since January.
Visit the Motorola download center and enter that you have TELUS as a carrier and Milestone as a phone. That should provide a download link for a program that will apply the update via your desktop. Then you can point and laugh at all us miscreants still waiting on the chance to get live wallpapers, multiple screens, and other features packed into Android 2.1.
All props go to MobileSyrup for the find.
