T-Mobile set to begin limited testing of Motorola CLIQ XT update

It looks like Motorola CLIQ XT users may want to keep an eye open for a new update. And no, before you start cheering — the update is not Android 2.1. Instead, it is a software update that looks to add some enhancements and/or fixes.

According to the update log on the Motorola website, the update will address;

  • Visual Voice Mail Enhancements
  • Bluetooth Audio
  • Camera Correction
  • Screen/Display Performance
  • Text Messaging Improvements
  • Touch Screen Enhancements

Of course, we also have the obligatory “improves overall phone performance” as well. As of now the update is planned to go only to 1000 users (and that capacity has been reached), of which you can find out more over on the T-Mobile user forums. The update was being rolled out like this so they could offer some real world testing and hopefully not have any issues when it goes out to the masses.

Given that the trial run is full it looks like any other CLIQ XT users will have to wait, but in the meantime hit the Motorola link below to see the full change log as to what you can expect to receive.
