Skyfire is now available in the Android Market. The Android browser alternative was in alpha just a few weeks ago, and the public beta can be installed for testing. Beta means there may be some bugs or issues to iron out, but early signs point to Skyfire being well on its way to being an incredible browser.
Skyfire includes a browser toolbar and three key features you’ll love: share, explore, and Flash video. Yeah, streaming Flash video for certain websites, with more content detection on the way as the app improves. Here are some highlights and a promotional video.
- Pinch to zoom
- Up to 8 tabs open at once, with tabs visually displayed
- Locates Flash video and alerts when ready, then offers full-screen playback
- View optimized
- “Explore” aggregates more results for related content, filter results by type, trends, tweets, images, or more.
- Optimized browsing for easy sharing on social networks
