This latest bit in the still evolving HTC EVO 4G story should be placed firmly in the rumor category, but putting the silly rumor disclaimer aside — it looks like Best Buy, or more specifically, a Best Buy employee has revealed the pricing.
The information is coming by way of Darrin Morton from ozcarguide, who claims to have received word from a “Best Buy rep, from the Geek Squad.” Take that for what you will, but according to the story, the HTC EVO 4G will be launched with a $199 price tag. And as you would expect, that price requires a two year agreement with Sprint.
“Now that Best Buy was officially talking about the HTC Evo 4G I thought I drop by one of their outlets and see if they had any information to share. A Best Buy rep, from the Geek Squad, had advised that they will be selling the HTC Evo 4G on a $199 Sprint contract plan. “
