Verizon Nexus One makes a brief appearance, appears to be selling for $199 on contract

Android Phones, Carriers, HTC-Nexus One, Verizon
This past weekend saw the Verizon Wireless compatible Nexus One make a brief appearance on the Google Phone Store website. And it seems brief is about the only way to describe it, but thankfully someone was quick enough with the screenshot and with that we now have a good idea at the pricing — or at least part of it.
Based on the image it looks like the Nexus One will be selling for $199 with Verizon. Of course, that $199 is noted as being an on-contract price. Interestingly enough that would mean Verizon would be charging $20 more than rival carrier T-Mobile. Unfortunately the screen capture did not reflect an unsubsidized price, but a full price option seems like a given at this point. Me personally, I am ready to plunk down my money, come on Verizon, make the Nexus One available.

What's the hold up?
What the hell! I have been checking the nexus one site every day for a month and Verizon has not been available and when they finally put it up, its gone in minutes. What did they only have 5 phones to sell the all of us that have been chomping at the bit to get are hands on the nexus one. I am so fed up with Verizon.
If I was to be fed up with someone here I think it would be Google, who is developing the thing for CDMA use, Verizon is not designing/building the "Nexus One by Google." Google is.
Hey come on man, you really think Google is holding up the works??? Are you a Verizon customer even? Google, number one search engine, huge efficient company constantly creating new technology. Verizon is ALWAYS one step behind. Surprised they're not still selling original Motorola Razrs (they aren't, are they?).
Assumption here is that they were simply executing a production pilot to ensure that the page loaded / functioned as desired….
Ok, you really think Google did that to test their code? I realize we aren't all programmers, but I think it's *probably* safe to say that Google has a test server they can use to check their 2 additional lines of code they had to add to the page… If you really haven't heard yet, that image is totally Photo shopped, sorry to rain on anyone's parade.
Sounds to me like things are getting close. I can't wait. I've been waiting since November and I'm not going to give up now. As some say when they only have a few weeks left of waiting for something, "I could do that standing on my head."
Patience, young Skywalkers.
Your folks should follow the links back to Android Central, where the post was originally made with the so called screen cap. Seems to me like some dumb kid tried to be cool and photoshop it in, getting people all excited and pissed off for no good reason. Personally, screw the nexus, wait for the Incredible.
I agree…im waiting for the incredible too. But thats easy to say now..if the Nexus comes out 1st i might not b able to hold out any longer. Im so sick of my blackberry that does nothing!
The verizon nexus one has a 4.0″- 4.3″ screen not ui sense that’s the big suprise
bullshit
It has a 3.7 screen
I though this post might be a photo shop as well but N1 has a video clip of the nexus one site
Who is N1 and what do you mean they have a video? Where can we see it! Any ape could photoshop a simple page like that!
And to the person that said the screen size would be 4 – 4.3, go F@#% yourself and stop spreading stupid rumors!!
i am just pissed that it seems that it will not be a GSM version! If you need a GSM phone, it looks like the only decent option is either an unlocked Nexus or a milestone (sorry, win mobile phones and BB just do not count!) or a damm iphone.
this bites!
yes i could go with Tmobile… but those SOB's really pissed me off a year ago!
that's a fake screenshot. the "9" fonts do not even match.
why would somebody take a screenshot if they thought that google would start selling verizon nexus1. and since they said it was up for a bit and somebody took that screenshot is clearly bullshit.
With its gorgeous hardware, speedy Snapdragon processor, and a knockout 4.3-inch display, the HTC HD2
