AT&T has confirmed another Android phone that it will offer this year. The Dell Aero, which looks similar to the panned-in-the-west Dell Mini 3, just popped up in an announcement on the company’s Facebook page. The announcement offered no other information other than to mention that Dell and AT&T collaborated to build a custom user interface.
The Aero promo shot reveals what looks to be a good-looking home or lockscreen. My first glance opinion makes me say that’s it’s very Windows-ish in terms of appearance. Of course, those new UI details will also be tied to how much we learn about the device’s internal issues. The original Dell Mini 3 wasn’t exactly groundbreaking and AT&T’s handling of the Backflip was a little shaky. Let’s hope the two companies came together to finally get things right.
Expect to hear a lot more about this device this week during CTIA.
Thanks for the tip, Sarah!
