Rogers rebrands the HTC Magic, now called the HTC Magic +

A few weeks ago Rogers was having issues with 911 calling on the Magic and Dream. That trouble came to an end as Rogers issued a mandatory fix that required users to either update or have their data service come to a temporary halt. Of course, that fix turned into an update when it gave Magic users something extra — Sense UI. And while that fix/update has been around for a little while now, at least a few weeks, Rogers is just now getting around to giving it an official branding.
It seems that Rogers has rebranded the HTC Magic as the HTC Magic +. Yup, they added Sense UI and gave it a plus. Just a little re-branding. But as someone like myself who willingly (and recently) purchased an Android 1.5 device (Verizon Droid Eris) I can understand why Rogers would feel that Sense UI translates into a plus.
Anyway, for good or bad, the Rogers branded Magic is now the Magic +. Price wise it remains at $79.99 on contract.
