Google should plan to create a desktop application to manage the phone. I believe they can do that well. They should use the same team behind picassa to build this application. And ask all the google experience phones to work with this software. and of course it should be made available for linux, mac and windows. I think that would do what itunes does for the iphone.

Also the worst thing about devices with android 1.5 is that they can't send files over bluetooth. I am happy about that decision. It brought down the price of many devices in the Indian market. No one would buy a phone which doesn't have those basic features out of the box.

American customers need to learn that from Indians.

samsung galaxy and spica is available in India for less than Rs.15,000/-(325$)
Previously it used to cost Rs.29,000/- (629$) almost double!!!

Hey I'm from the UK and when I read this post it made me think, and they wonder why sales are down in Europe! (I have the HTC Hero so I will be getting the update anyway). But that is not the point we are left in the dark with so many features! E.g. Google Voice, Google Navigation, speech to text, AND NOW THIS! Surely Google could put on their glasses to be able to see past just the US market.

Otherwise i have to get my phone out and push the # that i need to call. Any info would be welcomed tnx.

Every day if im on this eris phone more than 5 min. on a call the phone will let me hangup and then locks up. No buttons or anything will work. I have to pull the battery. The bad thing is this never happened before the update on 1/11/10 but two days later it started. I thought that update was to fix that problem but insted caused mine. I hope htc and verizon see's this forum. Verizon told me to do a reset on my phone. I did and it didnt help. I didnt see how that would of helped anyway. All i got was some work on getting info back on my phone. Come on with the update my back cover is getting loose from removing it so many times. Tnx for looking.

I totally understand. It is annoying to not know when you are going to get your update or if it will even happen. I think that the companies that produce Android devices as well as the carriers need to move faster when it comes updates.
