Android owners will soon be able to use the file sharing and syncing service Dropbox on the go.
“Do you own a BlackBerry or Android phone? Don’t worry! We’ve got plenty more mobile magic coming soon!” Dropbox said in an e-mail to users.
If you’ve never used the service, it’s an easy and free way to share files between platforms. You get 2 GB of storage for free and can then pay for more. I’ve been using it for a few years to share photos and videos with my family that I don’t need to be public, and it would be nice to have an app available for Android. They’re actually a little late to the game, as I’ve also been using the competing SugarSync Android app for a few months and like it a lot.

Have you guys tried SugarSync? It's pretty solid and the Android app is good. I'm with you though, I can't wait for Dropbox on my Droid.

Sadly they have been saying this on their forums for over a year. I love dropbox, but I'm not holding my breath for android support. On a side note I wish Google would buy them. Google storage is cheap.

This is not happening any time soon..Dropbox is still trying to hire a developer to start work on this. It will take them a year to see something!

I have been using SugarSync's Android client and I love it.
