While CES is finally feeling like it is long over, it seems there are still some goodies being shown off. At least that is the case with this latest video which features the Astri, a dual-mode eBook reader that runs Android.
The Astri was being demoed by Marvell and features a 4.8-inch WVGA LCD touchscreen display opposite a 5-inch e-ink Wacom touchscreen. Looks interesting, mainly because it seems to be similar to the eDGe but in a smaller more compact version. That said, there are still many items such as pricing, release (if it will be available) and just what it has inside in terms of connectivity still missing.
Of course, we can still take the 3:04 and enjoy the video. I should also point out that this is being denoted as a “MID” but in this case that means My Interactive Device. Yup, it seems they just felt the need to add some confusion to what the product really is.
