Rumor: Nexus One to also come unlocked with support for AT&T 3G

Android Phones, AT&T, Carriers, Rumors
I would still file this one under the very wishful thinking category, but there has been some recent rumors that a second Nexus One will be available. And in some hope-to-be-true news for AT&T users, that second Nexus One will come packing support for AT&T’s 3G bands.
According to the rumor, which even BGR is noting as being not “completely confirmed” is said to have a “second” unlocked model of the Google Nexus One.
Of course, we are already expecting the Google Nexus One to come in just a few days on January 5. But most have believed that will only be the model that will come with support for T-Mobile. Maybe, just maybe Google has a surprise in store.

I gave up on all of this ..it's coming.. it will happen with the Android (had the HTC Eris, it was horribly slow). Got the iPhone, couldn't be happier. Android still needs some baking time.
Buying an Eris and complaining that Android is slow is like buying an original iPhone 2G and complaining that iPhones are slow. Maybe you should have done some research and gotten a better phone with a Cortex processor, instead of relying on fancy packaging and advertising. On second thought, the iPhone is probably a perfect match for you.
HTC Eris is a cheap phone thats why it is slow. You shouldve gotten the Droid. Or wait until Nexus 1, or Sony's Xperia 10 comes out.
T-mobile doesn't reach into my home (in downtown Tampa). I need a GSM phone for travel. That leaves AT&T. You must run iTunes to use an iPhone and iTunes doesn't run on my home computer. So, the bottom line is, all this consumer lock-in has locked me out. I'm still stuck with an old "just makes phonecalls" cellphone.
The Nexus One will only work on AT&T as Edge–no 3G support. AT&T offers no Android phones at all.
HAHA… iphone is for dumba$$es lol
