myTouch 3G Fender edition debuts Jan. 20 with music, doubleTwist preloaded

T-Mobile announced that it will finally release the myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition on Wednesday, January 20. The limited edition version of the myTouch will include a built-in 3.5mm headset jack, a new music player with a “more intuitive design,” a 16GB microSD card included, and a physical design that mirrors the Fender line of sunburst design guitars.

The new myTouch 3G version will also come preloaded with Android apps Guitar:Solo and Music Light, along with songs from Eric Clapton, Avril Lavigne, Brad Paisley, and Wyclef Jean, artists who have or will appear in myTouch commercials. Adding on to the musical experience, the phone will also have a preloaded installer to download DoubleTwist, a computer program we have highlighted for people looking to sync files between their computer and Android phone.

Interested customers will be able to order the myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition on January 20 at select stores or at TmobilemyTouch.com. The phone will cost $179.99 plus applicable fees and a new two-year service agreement.
