Nimbuzz Android app puts all your communication in one place (CES Videos)
January 9, 2010 | by Andrew Kameka

There’s been quite a bit of communication news from Android at CES, and Nimbuzz is a contributor to that gathering storm. Nimbuzz is a calling and chat application that lets users place calls or chat with friends for free. Facebook, MySpace, Skype, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, Google Talk and more are supported by this app. It has functioning for VoIP calling and surprisingly includes that ability to transfer files between users.
Below is a brief product demo of Nimbuzz, which has a very good-looking interface, as seen on the Nexus One. It’s also snappy (I’m assuming that’s also courtesy of the N1) and ranks among the best user experiences of Nimbuzz’s many platforms.

Is it any different or better than Fring? Looks pretty similar.
Fring has had a number of connection issues for me. Basically, it never connects and is unusable.
Nimbuzz on the other hand is great. Connects quickly, no delays in calling, supports all the platforms I use.
Only hiccup is that there is a bug that seems to "reconnect" the player frequently. Others seem to have noticed this as well.
Also skype out doesn't seem to be working
This looks pretty good. I just downloaded it from the market. I have unlimited minutes. Could I actually just add real phone numbers to the contacts visible on this app? If so, I'd probably actually replace the regular contacts menu with this.
If it was snappy, that's the Nexus One's doing – Nimbuzz as an IM client is really, really, really slow on a G1 – even running Cyanogen's latest mods.
I signed up, but don't see Skype in the "contact manager" when entering my accounts. What gives? Do others have Skype access in Nimbuzz? Also, is latency better than on Fring?
thanx for yuo
works fine on HTC Tattoo, but responds somewhat slowly. Otherwise quite good
