Sprint’s skipping Android 2.0 and giving the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment 2.1

It seems that Sprint is doing a little change up from the earlier message about the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment getting 2.0 in the first half of 2010. But they are backtracking in a nice way, and instead of going to 2.0, they are going directly to 2.1. And still keeping that same, first half of 2010 timeframe.
Slight clarification on Android OS updates for the HTC Hero & Samsung Moment. Will be updating straight to Android 2.1, not 2.0, in 1H2010.
Sounds pretty good, now if we could just narrow down a time frame. Not trying to be impatient, but the first half of the year may end up being a long time if they push this to the end.

I live in Myrtle Beach, SC. My MOMENT GoogleMaps says I'm in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, or Nigeria more often than SC. They tell me the upgrade will fix this. As a customer, how long is a reasonable amount of time to wait for this? I've already dealt with this since early November.
Have to agree. The mapping fix needs to come sooner.
Yeah, mine sends me to Iceland any time it doesn't have a gps signal, and I REALLY wanna be able to run Google Goggles!!!!!!!
