Skip Verizon’s BOGO sale, shop Amazon, save yourself $40 and still get a DROID and DROID Eris

Android Phones, Carriers, HTC, Motorola, Verizon
Earlier this morning I wrote up a post detailing the current BOGO sale with Verizon and let you know that you could get a free HTC DROID Eris with the purchase of a Motorola DROID.
Well stop now, and do not head to Verizon, not the online store or a regular retail location.
Instead open up your browser of choice and go to Amazon.com.
Once there you can purchase an HTC DROID Eris for $9.99 and a Motorola DROID for $149.99 and spend a total of $159.98.
Now keep in mind, using the Verizon offer you will be spending $199.99, which is the price that Verizon is charging for the Motorola DROID. So by not using the Verizon BOGO sale and shopping Amazon you are going to save about $40.
In fact, you can still get the same calling and data plans. The only difference that I can see comes in regards to the activation fees. With Verizon you are paying $35 and $25, but Amazon appears to list those as both being $35. So maybe you can add an additional $10 bucks there, which would in the end give you a $30 savings.
Either way, its still better than the BOGO sale.
