Photos showing off Rome

We don’t mean the European location, either. We’ve got a few pictures we want to show off for you, snatched from an exclusive that MobiFrance showcased earlier. What we’ve got here is a new Android device, or so that’s what the rumor mill is spreading around. The name is actually HTC Touch.B, which I’m not sure I’m a fan of or not: I’m on the fence. There’s a few clues that we can discern from these well-positioned photos that might make us think this way, like the way Touch.B appears in that curious Android-like shade of green; or that there’s a small ‘home’ icon on that front panel.

Rome

There isn’t much else to tell, really. We can see that there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, a port for that great mini-USB port, a place to clip your lanyard (you’ve got one of those, right?), along with the volume rockers and probably a camera key. And, if you take a look, a real hard look, at that front panel, I’m only guessing that’s a ‘home’ key right next to where the power/end call key is. I could be wrong, but that makes the most sense to me. And actually, the more I stare at it, I’m thinking that it could be the ‘menu’ key. What do you think?

There’s some talk that we could see some more updates regarding the HTC Touch.B come tomorrow, so if that’s the case, we’ll make sure to keep you posted. If HTC keeps up on this trend of creating new phones in the likeness of previous successes, we are bound to see some great Android devices coming down the pipe. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with that at all.
