Multi-touch comes to the DROID, by way of the Motorola Milestone firmware

Those hoping to see the Motorola DROID get updated with multi-touch may want to listen up a little because it is in the process of happening. Well, to be a little more specific, it has happened, but is not available in the form of a ROM for everyone just yet.

Anyway, it looks like Eugene and Barakinflorida over at AllDroid have ported the firmware from the Motorola Milestone into the Motorola Droid and with that comes multi-touch support including pinch and zoom. And I guess in what we can only consider a special bonus, they also added the Nexus boot animation.

As far as availability, it looks like the ROM will be ready in a few days. But in the meantime we can marvel at the YouTube video below.
