HTC Hero look-a-like makes an FCC appearance

Its always fun to see what is crossing the desk of the FCC, mainly because it leads to guessing and speculation. And the latest device is sure to bring plenty of both.

Anyway, at first glance it would appear as of this device was the European HTC Hero, but as with many of the FCC listings there are plenty of unknown details. And in this case the manufacturer and the name of the device are included in that list of unknowns.

What we can tell you though, is that this is a GSM handset and it will feature 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a TV tuner as well a front and rear facing camera. Additionally, this still unnamed handset will include 1GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM and a 1600mAh battery and once available be found in either black or white.

Of course, getting back to the speculation, there was not any clue that this is, or will be running Android. But still we could not help but think it will. After all why would anyone want to rip off the HTC Hero design and not have it run Android. My guess is that this is a knock off device that will land in China, but be available for import into the US.
