Cellular South unveil HTC Hero upgrade plans, 2.1 is is coming in 2010

It looks like Cellular South will also be rolling out an update for the HTC Hero, and similar to what we have heard with Sprint, they will also be giving the Hero OS 2.1, which is scheduled to arrive sometime in the first half of 2010.
We’re excited to announce that Android 2.1 is coming to our Hero! Look for it in the first half of 2010.
All things considered, its nice to see a smaller regional carrier making early announcements. Now lets just hope that Cellular South, as well as Sprint are able to follow though on their plans.
It’s June now. Do you have any idea when Cellular south will drop the 2.1 for thirty hero.

umm its july…WTF!!! I need this update. I got my phone in april and the saleswomen told me i would get the new update which included picture texts in early june….LIAR!!!!
