I am still determined to find and actually purchase a tablet style device, and although I am not hard set on it running Android, that would be nice. I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on the Camangi WebStation the other day, but after finding out that the early bird discount was only $10 and free shipping I decided to hold tight and wait for some reviews.
Anyway, in addition to the WebStation the other device that has been on my mind is the Archos 5 with Android. But up till now I have had pretty mixed feelings after reading the reviews. That said, it has not been bad enough to scare me away, just enough to make me cautious enough to wait for more reviews, and while I really dont need to share every review that I find here this one was worth passing on.
The review comes courtesy of Steve Paine from CarryPad and is just about as through as can be expected. The review begins with the unboxing, goes over the contents in the box, first impressions, a 1 hour live Q&A video, then goes on to cover the exterior and interior of the device. Overall, I could not ask for more in terms of a review.
Anyway, if you are at all interested in the Archos 5 then this is a review not to miss. Of course, if you just have some time to spare and want to geek out it should still be worth the read (and watch).
Bottom line, while its not a perfect device, this review has pushed me just a little closer to a purchase. Now if I could just get some reviews on the WebStation I may be able to make up my mind. In the meantime, hit the link below to read the full review.
