The Acer A1 Liquid runs 1.6 "Donut" already, and has some modifications made on the OS from Acer. There's been talk that the Liquid will be able to be upgraded to 2.0, but there isn't any word on time frame though.

I agree and regardless if you have an older phone or not all devices should have a mandatory upgrade.

We had a long discussion about this last night, and I still agree. Despite the fact 2.1 is out and about, Google should make it possible for all Android devices to upgrade to 2.0, and then go from there.

Well that's unfortunate for sure. Was looking forward to checking out this phone now i'm not sure. Well theres plenty more to choose from in the upcoming months. Now if google can just get their firmware updates consistenly to all android devices.
