As much as I would love to run out and pick up a shiny new Droid today, that just is not happening. That said, there is a nice walk though video that was posted by Verizon Wireless covering the HTC Droid Eris.
The video comes in at 5:15 and gives a nice look at what users can expect. Of course, most of the details are what we have come to already know. But if nothing else, this video could help those non-geeks that are not quite as in the know when it comes to Android phones. In other words, this video may help save you from explaining what Android is and what you can do with it.
The funny part here is that the video seemed to really stress the “seven customizable panels” as though seven were an important number. Of course for anyone that has been following Android for a while knows is nicer than the default, but find it hard to imagine that anyone else does. Still, seven is nice.
The highlight of the video however comes at just around the 4 minute mark where they demo the pinch and zoom. Of course, my favorite feature is that you can hold down the home key and get a look (via popup) at your six most recent used applications, which can then be relaunched.
