Confirmed: Best Buy lowers HTC Hero, Samsung Moment down to $99.99

Android Phones, Carriers, HTC, Samsung, Sprint
As was previously rumored, Best Buy has lowered the pricing on the Sprint branded HTC Hero and the Samsung Moment.
This offer is immediately available and was noted as being a special offer for the holidays. In other words it does not appear to be a permanent price drop, but that said, it was noted as running “through December.” So it looks like you have some time to decide.
Anyway, new customers that are willing to sign a two-year agreement with Sprint are now able to pick up that Hero or Moment for just $99.99. And that price is just what it says, the rebates are instant so nothing to fill out and nothing to mail in.
And while neither of these handsets are running Android 2.0, in fact they are still running Android 1.5, but it is hard to argue with a $100 smartphone.

HTC has already announced they will upgrade the Hero to 2.0. So it will be a $100 cutting-edge smartphone in the near future.

Got one!
what is the website for the samsung moment at the $99.99? I can't find it on the best buy website. Thanks
Not happy that they are only offering this to NEW CUSTOMERS. What about us loyal customers that are at the end of our two year contract and will be purchasing a new phone and a new contract? We have to pay full price. Discrimination if you ask me and not at all fair!!
I was also at the end of my contract, i opened up a new line and disconnected the old one. I got the phone for $99.99. Hope that helps.
some one at slickdeals.net said that wirelfy has it for 99.99 for upgrades. In someone's comment they said that they got best buy to price match it for an upgrade
haven't had time to check it out yet.
