One of the items that many have come to not only love, but also feel lost without is the Android Market and all of the good Google apps. That of course was the some of the pain felt by anyone who purchased the Archos 5 Internet tablet.
Thankfully that has since changed and the Market along with everything Google can now be added to the Archos 5. Of course, this is not an official release and does involve some trickery, but it seems to be well worth the time and effort.
Not having an Archos 5 I cannot verify this one personally, but according to jkkmobile, it seems you need to have either firmware 1.4.08 or 1.4.09 running on your tablet. Anyway, assuming you are feeling brave and have 1.4.08 or .09 then hit the link below for the full set of directions and you should be enjoying the Market along with Gmail, Maps and more before you know it.
