To be honest, Jen, I think that part is a little bogus. The more I look at it, and the more I'm hearing commentary, I don't think Google is telling everyone that the Android OS we're all running isn't the "real" Android. As the story goes, it was heard off-handedly, so maybe the person who said it (if it was actually said at all, mind you) meant that the Android OS on the Google phone has a lot more features? Maybe the new version is so much better, that the previous versions fail to compare? That's how I'm seeing it.

If the Android on my Droid is not 'real' android I am going to feel pretty jerked around by Google. I invested a lot of dollars in giving their platform a try and now they tell me it's not the true Android? How about google can suck it while I seek a platform that isn't playing games.

Scott I love Android but when I get 1/2 into a good bottle of wine, sit back and start to think about it, your joke doesn't seem so funny!! I just hope that Google/Skynet doesn't want us dead, just keep us like pets

We have yet to see free phones run by Google Ads . Hopefully it will happen .
