You really do have to love spec sheets. Where would we be without them? Nowhere, that’s where. Let’s face it, you turn up gold when you look hard enough. Take the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 for example. Probably the boldest, most definitive handset the manufacturer has ever put out, and the rumor mill has definitely had its way with the upcoming (and by upcoming, we mean, upcoming) device. Rumors had put the Android-powered phone in the realm of T-Mobile, but as the guys over at Phandroid discovered, that’s apparently not the case.

At this moment in time, as it stands, two handsets are apparently slotted for AT&T shelves. Which is a lot more than there were a month ago, considering AT&T was pretty headstrong in its defiance of the Android Operating System. But now we’ve got a doozy on our hands. Of course, the X10 is still a ways away, but that glimmer of 800/850/1900/2100 3G bands at least makes AT&T look a bit better. No, not right now. But you know, some time in the future. Maybe.

There are a plethora of videos about this device, some of them great and some of them fitting quite nicely on the other side of that spectrum; but no matter what, Sony Ericsson is determined to provide a handset that revolutionizes the way we move around the Android platform. Will it be a good thing, something you shrug your shoulders at, or just another attempt that we will all forget about sooner than we imagined? Only time will tell. Oh, and your pocket book. Don’t forget your pocket book.
