I set out to buy a Palm Pre, considered the Samsung Moment, and came home with the Hero. It's incredibly versatile, like having a mini wi-fi PC with a phone attached. I'm confident I'll get used to the touch screen QWERTY keyboard. (I'm using firmware update 1.56.652.1 -- looking forward to 2.0 in early 2010.) You _can_ use any email service you like - I set up my AOL account as well as my GMail. I think you'll like it. I bought a Sprint HTC Hero last weekend. I do have one major concern. I am switichin gover from Windows Mobile. I am a big Microsoft supporter but I just couldn't deal with Windows Mobile anymore. I did like however how I could sync my contacts and Live Mail account with my phone effortlessly. Is there any app available or in the works to support Microsft Live Mail and contact sync? I do not really use my Gmail account. And I have read about the forwarding option.. But I'd really just like to be able to put my preferred E-mail account on this lovely phone.
