Android users can now download eReader. Of course we knew this app was coming, although the when was the question. But the good news is that it is available for download, and it is a free download.
One item to point out is that the app is not available in the market, instead it is being offered by way of a direct download link.
Feature wise, the eReader app has support for the eReader.com and Fictionwise.com online bookstores as well as your online bookshelf. Content support, the eReader app handles the PDB format. Other features include the ability to move forward, move backward, change the font size and switch the reading layout from portrait to landscape.
Finally, you can grab the app here: http://www.ereader.com/android. And also read more about it here: eReader for Android FAQ

So….. why isn't it available on the Market?

Umm…. completely USELESS because it ONLY allows viewing of purchased content. My entire library of PDB files (from over 5 years ago on my old Palm device when it was the ONLY reader) still awaits an UNCRIPPLED reader. The FAQ says you can import personal content, but the linked instructions are incredibly complex and cryptic, such as running your own eReader content server (!???WTF???!!) or things that simply do not exist on the application.

I copied all my PDBs to the ereader folder on my SD and they all open just fine. I can even open DRMed PDBs purchased from Barnes & Noble.
