Whoah, hold on there Gary. It's not apples-to-Apples (quite literally) when you start talking about the iPhone, because that mobile OS has gotten its butt kicked hard by Android and you (should) know it. I don't even need to elaborate on that, but it starts with scalability, multi-tasking and an open architecture for third-party apps. Google around for more information (irony intended).

And as for this lagging notion that the App Store with the mostest wins, does anyone see the irony of this situation? Microsoft beat its breast for years saying that its edge on the Macintosh is the 10x (or whatever) number of available applications written for Windows.

Now Apple has its (short) day in the sun! Apple has more apps!

So what?

As a graphic artist who lives in Photoshop on a daily basis I can say the app is completely useless!! It's crapware! And to tell you the truth I've yet to see many Android apps that I would consider very good - unless you root. Android has a very severe uphill battle to get some quality apps out there. I'm hearing alot of complaints from non-tech friends who were expecting equivalent to Apple app store.

You definitely want to skip Photoshop. In fact, the author of these recommendations presumably is not clued into the outrage it has caused in the Android blogosphere.

The app persistently runs in the background to support its function of uploading all your photos to Adobe.com, even if: (1) you kill it using a task manager; and (2) you don't even create an Adobe.com account and are thus not logged into it through the app.

Adobe looks ridiculous from this oversight, and they're feeling the flack bigtime.

Of all of the applications mentioned in the article Photoshop must be almost as hotly anticipated as Flash 10, although being in the UK it appears that I must wait for both.

I'm in Germany but downloaded the Photoshop (U.S. only) from a Japanese website. Hope it's worth the 23 seconds it took me to find it.

Heh...even better. I've had my phone number for over two years, and the WhitePages.com database lists the last owner of the number. So *that's* why I keep getting calls from her creditors. : |

Um...I'm a little confused on the Reverse Lookup app. I called my cellphone from my landline to test it. The incoming call screen came up for a second, then it switched to the Lookup screen to do the search. Meanwhile, the call went to voicemail. Am I missing something? It seems that the only way to use this is to let all of the calls go to voicemail and call the callers back once the search is complete.
