Rumor: HTC Passion/Dragon being prepared for a mid-December launch

Up till this point we have seen some information surrounding the HTC Passion/Dragon, however the carrier and launch details have remained mostly a mystery. Sure we have heard that it will be heading to Verizon Wireless, but that has yet to be confirmed, not to mention that availability was left as a general “sometime in Q4 of this year.”

Unfortunately, we are not yet able to officially confirm any of this just yet. But as always the rumor mill continues to churn. And in this case we have yet another tipster (courtesy of BGR) who has stated that the Passion/Dragon is heading to Verizon Wireless and will be available shortly. Or a little more specifically, it was stated that it “could be out as early as Black Friday.”

I guess time will tell, but with that one thing is for sure — Verizon may have joined the Android party late, but they seem to be quickly making up for lost time.

Again. T-mobile misses out on another big screened Android. Another Android that won’t be obsolete in six months.

FWIW, many think that photo is of an iPhone. Check out the comments in the phandroid forums and in the follow-up to the BGR report.

That said, I really hope the rumor is true. I'd love to get a keyboardless snapdragon with hardware FM radio running Android 2.0

Man…T-mobile was the 1st US carrier to have Android and see how far T-mobile has fallen behind…it keeps on missing the good phone. It carries last-gen android and charges top-rate price. I just don't know how much longer can I keep on holding out before I move to verizon.
