Slacker Radio recently launched an Android client for its personal radio service. We made a post about it yesterday and decided that you’d probably enjoy hearing music more than you would hearing about the app, so here’s your chance.
Androinica.com and Slacker Radio are giving away FREE one-year subscriptions to Slacker Radio Plus. The subscription, valued at $48, upgrades accounts and grants access to Slacker’s million-song-strong library, unlimited song skipping, unlimited song requests, no advertising, and lyrics to accompany the songs streamed to your Android phone. (Slacker Radio also has free accounts that allow users to stream music to phones and on the web).
How do you win one of these free subscriptions to Slacker Radio? Follow Androinica.com on Twitter and make a comment below. Write anything you want and I will select three (3) winners at random. Did you wait in line for a Droid this morning? Tell me about it. Is there a great band you discovered that you want other Slacker users to listen to? Mention it in the comments below!
Rules:
In order to win, you must be a U.S. resident and own an Android phone.
Register for a free Slacker Radio account and winners will have that account upgraded once the contest is complete.

I am new to the androidOS and I love it. I had a blacberry and I hated it. I then pretty much tossed a coin between my Sprint Hero and the Palm Pre, thank god I went with the Hero. So yeah anyway I need the slacker full.

Having Slacker on my Moto Cliq would take me that much farther away from my ipod touch. I’m new to Android and still carry my Blackberry. With the great stuff I’m picking up here, I’m hoping to use only one device.
Thanks,
Von

Sure, I'm in for a free subscription.
But what are you getting for $50 a year that you don't get for free on Pandora?

Slacker Radio FTW

I’m already a slacker subscriber so I guess I’m out, but this makes it easier for me to make the switch to android. For those that don’t know the big things you get with a subscription are unlimited skipping on the stations and you don’t get any advertising. There is other stuff too but those were the big ones for me. Good luck to everyone!

Internet radio is the only way to listen to music on my mt3g cuz the music player sucks so badly. This would make my day esp. now that they've extended 3g coverage to the metro stations in DC

I tries slacker this morning on my G1. Works very well, even on edge. I’d definitely like an upgrade.

Very cool – it's about time that Slacker made it to android! Long live the Android! Now if I win, can I win a Droid too that I can use on T-mobile?

I LOVED this app on my BlackBerry, it had a lot of good music and I had the subscription and has since expired and I hate not being able to switch songs when I didn't like it because of the skip limit per hour =(
