Motorola Droid user manual and Verizon “launch package” PDF’s leaked and now available for download

Those looking for more information on the soon-to-be released Motorola Droid now have plenty of PDF reading to take care of. Just released leaked is the complete User Manual and also a second 34 page PDF entitled “Droid by Motorola Launch Package” which was also marked VZW Exclusive and noted as being proprietary material. Overall both of these will give a nice head start to anyone picking up a Droid upon launch, heck it may even convince someone to make that purchase.
Of course, I am not really sure why anyone (myself included) gets so excited when product manuals leak because I generally never read them when they come in the box that I get. But something about a ‘leaked PDF’ just seems a little more appealing. Oh well, check it out if you like.

I've had my Droid for a week, love everything but the weight. Otherwise it is awesome and fast!
I downloaded the Droid User Manual (all 44 or so pages) and my only comment is that it is probably one of the worst and incomplete user manuals I've ever tried to use. IT"S BAD!
have you found any better and if so whats the address? I just wish they would give a manual with the phone it would be so much simpler…
Just got my Droid. Can someone tell me how to send one (1) text message to several people? PLEASE!
Go ahead and head into your Messages. Once there, start a new text message. At the top, the very first thing you'll have to do is add a contact to send the message to. Once you do, the phone will automatically drop to the message field, so you can start typing out your message. Instead, go ahead and touch the first name up there at the top. It will add that first name, and leave you space to add another. You'll have to know who exactly you want to send the message to, because the DROID doesn't give you an option to add people quickly. At least not standard. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, you know where to come.
In the field were the name is: just go beside the first name and add another name kinda like you do on ur home computer see if that will work I have added as many as three names .
The maximum number of names you can enter into a single text message is 10.
use a comma between the names of recipients when sending the message. It is nowhere to be found to automatically send multi messages.

Can numbers be highlighted and then put in a folder. Then can the folder be sent via test or Email?
So far, the only way to send a text message to multiple users at once, is the way outlined above. The folder idea would be great, but so far there's only folders to put on your homescreen, which gives users with phones with standard Android a quicker way to get to their contacts.
i used the app. handcent that is free. i downloaded and it is awesome.

Is it possible to use DROID Voice Dial from a Bluetooth headset without having to activate voice dial trhough the phone sceen?
If someone calls my voice mail and leaves a message, there is no notification light or ringtone. If there is a text message, I do receive a green light and a ringtone. How can I get notified of a voice message?

easiest thing to do, just use the volume rocker switch to turn the volume all the way down to silent mode. just don't forget to turn it back on when you're done.

I agree, the manual is not up to speed of the DROID. Does not explain how to move or remove items from the primary screen.

i know for the droid eris u hold down on the app that u want to remove and after a few seconds a remove button will show up…drag the icon app down over the remove..also, if u want to move an app to another screen, hold down the app icon and hold it to the side..hope this helps

How can I print a full Users Guide
They need to stop pumping these guys out so quickly, this does come off as a upgrade but its going to be out of date as soon as the Droid 5 comes out in 6 months. why cant manufacturers keep the time between phones at atleast 8 months? and then upgrade those every year? that would make so much more sense.
