Motorola Calgary could be Verizon’s 2nd Android phone

Take a look at this leaked image of the Motorola Calgary, which is a “budget” version of the Droid (Sholes). To be fair, the Droid looks to be a game changing phone and most devices from Motorola are unlikely to stack up to it. However, the Calgary also being a phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard headed for Verizon is bound to draw comparisons to its big brother, and iDon’t think it has what it takes to live up to those comparisons.

Or does it? The Calgary may not be the Droid, but it has some respectable stats: 3 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD, and comes with MOTOBLUR. Not mind-blowing, but the addition of Blur will make this a great phone for certain users, especially since Blur is something that a lot of folks were hoping to see on the Sholes.

According to BGR, the Calgary is slated to be released sometime in the next few months.
