GSM version Motorola Droid shows up on YouTube
October 29, 2009 | by Robert Nelson

If you were anywhere online yesterday it was hard to miss the excitement behind the Droid announcement. Which as we saw has the Motorola Droid heading to Verizon Wireless on November 6.
With that, there was also another version of the Mototola Droid that made an appearance yesterday. Except this came with little fanfare but at the same time it may make those hoping for a GSM version of the handset happy.
On YouTube, courtesy of Tinhte.com, we now have a video of the SIM card slot equipped GSM Motorola Droid. Of course, we already knew such a device was real, but at the same time it is nice to see it in video form. Sadly though, that does not change the fact that we still have any idea when, or where this model will be available.

I'll be grabbing one of these as soon as it hits NewEgg.
This one is a Verizon 'World' phone which has a SIM card in it to work with the different networks around the world. All of the Verizon 'World' phones feature a SIM card.
Wow
. If they start selling right after the "original" droid, I will buy it. If they wait 6 months I wont.
I was criticizing Verizon and Motorola yesterday about this and they already have a solution
Hey Robert,
It says its a private video. Is there a way to make it public?
What video??
