Verizon sales representatives are being trained on using the Droid Eris, the former mystery Android phone that Google’s Eric Schmidt held at a recent press event. A leaked photo sent in by a tipster to our friends at AndroidGuys show the first screen of a training module for the Eris. Carriers typically don’t bother training their employees on new handsets until the phone is near-ready for being sold in stores.
The Droid Eris is part of Verizon’s slate of Android phones that should appear this year. It is expected to be previewed at a Verizon press event this week and possibly be released in stores November 6. As you can tell from this photo, the Droid Eris is an HTC-built Android phone sporting the Sense user interface.
It took about a year, but it looks like Android season is finally here.

Can't wait for this one.. I am hoping the price point isn't going to be in the ~300.00 Range.. I am going to guess 199.00 with 2 year.
