As Andrew mentioned a few days back, the Android Market was rumored to be getting a refresh and it looks like that rumor has come true.
The updated Market will come along with Android version 1.6 and bring some nice improvements that should benefit both end users and developers alike.
In terms of what we can expect to see;
“developers will be able to provide screenshots, promotional icons and descriptions that will better show off applications and games.”
Additionally, Google has also added a few new sub-categories which include sports, health, comics and themes. Finally, the Market will now also include support for developers based in Italy.
Bottom line, the overall look should help to make browsing the market a nicer experience, but the addition of more sub-catergories should also help. Now if we could just see some better support in terms of searching the Market.
