Carriers, T-Mobile
Thanks to the official T-Mobile Twitter stream, we can now keep track of the cities that are getting 3G support a little easier. But worry not Twitter haters, I read Twitter so you do not have to.
Anyway, the latest cities that have been blanketed in 3G goodness include;
- Charlotte, NC
- Charleston, SC
- Palm Springs, CA
- Oxnard, CA
- Ventura, CA
- Malibu, CA
- Santa Barbara, CA
As always, you can also check on the T-Mobile website and see what the 3G coverage will be like in your area.

It seems like Savannah, GA is being tested for 3G. While on River Street I was picking up a 3G signal, but two blocks away it went back to EDGE. I sent an @ to T-Mobile's Twitter, received back, "3G not official in that area yet". So it's coming this way, too, just a matter of time!
Awesome, I live in Savannah and really don't want ATT. Verizon, the only other 3g here, is ok, but I don't want to deal with their BS. Now if only Sprint brings it on, maybe I'll get the Hero. ^^
Well, if you want to play with it in the meantime, head down to the Bull Street Ramp on River Street (we were technically in Olympia Cafe) and see if it's still available. It was the first time I got to play with 3G, and it was wonderful being able to load pages in a real amount of time–equal to or better than my WiFi at home!
this is crap. tmobile needs to step their game up…i live in a state capital [boise] and the service sucks…no 3g on a nice droid? what's even the point..
but sure, give california more 3g…
