Android Apps, Productivity
The Remember The Milk Blog has just announced the availability of their new Android app. For those unfamiliar with Remember The Milk, it is basically a system to manage and track your to-do list items. The nice part, at least for me is that it offers access just about anywhere you may be. You can access RTM from a regular web browser, a mobile web browser and even add new items to your to-do list by sending an email.
Anyway, getting back to the app, it is available as of today and is a free download, however you need to be a Remember The Milk Pro user. That means a $25 yearly subscription, although non-pro users are able to get a 15-day trial.
In terms of features, the app (thanks to Android) runs in the background which means that your mobile list will always be in sync with your main RTM account. In addition it will notify you of tasks that are due with a reminder in the notification bar.
Other features include a home screen widget, as well as the ability to add new tasks as well as edit current tasks. Basically, the Android app seems to be as full featured as the it would be on a regular browser.
In short, if you are looking for a task/to-do manager that you can take (and use) just about anywhere and don’t mind paying the $25 you should check out Remember The Milk. I am just downloading and installing the app now, so I cannot yet offer a review on that, but have been using RTM on the web and another mobile phone for a while and can say that the service itself is great.

I've missing two applications since I changed from an iPhone 3G to an HTC Hero and were Evernote and RTM.
Don't forget, Astrid integrates with RTM and it's free.
Yes, I was using Astrid to sync with RTM but the official app has some features that Astrid is missing (smart lists, syncing locations, etc)
Evernote is slowly making its way onto Android. Go to the Evernote forums, and you'll see the download link for their BETA. It's still in progress, but certainly usable.
I know about Evernote beta, in fact I'm using it
@Doug, Dont forget Astrid sucks balls.
Well really if Astrid lives up to its reputation then remember the milk won't have its place. But i really think it isn't. You wonder why Toodledo and Things don't cross over to android. i think its still not robust enough. http://www.productiveorganizer.com/to-dotask-mana…
I've just started to develop an Android application; it will be using a topic map-based data model to organize a person's disparate life experiences, events, people and places: http://www.quesucede.com/page/show/id/android_app… If anyone is interested in this application, please provide me with feedback… it is appreciated.
