LG Etna Android phone spotted at IFA

Remember LG? You know, the South Korean electronics giant that has been quiet on the Android front? They’re not going to be quiet much longer. Take a look at the LG Etna Android, LG’s upcoming Android phone set for release on the Vodafone network. The Etna was spotted in the Vodafone booth at the IFA conference by German website Chip Online. They were able to gather the following information about the phone on display.

- 3-inch touchscreen display
- Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- 5 megapixel camera

Obviously we’re waiting for more information at the moment but this is the first look at what could very well be LG’s first Android phone. LG has stated that they would deliver an Android phone in 2009 but it has been several months since they first made that promise without providing more details about availability. Chip says that LG and Vodafone will release the Etna Android “in the near future” and no price has been set.
