Yesterday seemed to focus on the Motorola announcement and while I would say it was deserved, there was also another Android related bit of news that seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle.
Of course, I can understand why this would have gotten lost, after all it is really just a brief announcement, certainly not as exciting as the Cliq and MotoBlur.
Anyway, INQ Mobile have announced plans to release an Android handset in 2010. The announcement came from INQ CEO Frank Meehan who stated that they will “do some pretty cool things with Android” and that they are focusing on non-standard form factors with focus on “wrap-around and flexible screens.”
Unfortunately while the flexible screens do sound interesting that was about all that was stated. There was nothing in terms of any real details feature wise. That said, based on other phones from INQ it would seem safe to think that it will be social network oriented.
