AT&T, HTC
Has the HTC Lancester been cut from the device team at AT&T? Engadget Mobile has reported that it received some “pretty believable information” that indidcates the Lancester, which was supposed to be the first Android phone to appear on America’s largest network, has been canned.
Engadget says they don’t know the exact reason for the supposed cancellation but seems to trust its source. In that case, the 2.8 inch QVGA (240 x 320) display, QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel fixed focus with digital zoom camera, Buletooth 2.0, and A-GPS phone is finnito as far as AT&T’s slate.
Could it be AT&T wants to focus on the Fiesta?

Interesting. This sounds like a Dream-like Magic. Not exactly the most fascinating piece of hardware, and Motorola Shole will put it to shame if released later this year.
I find it hard to get excited about anything with motorola's logo on it. I can't wait for the sony-erricson personally.
The lancasters fatal flaw is the hardware keyboard layout, I prefer them to be off spaced and can hamper your ability to touch type. I can envision an increase in text related driving accidents as a result of these layouts.
