HTC CEO Peter Chou has recently announced that they have officially topped the one million mark with the Magic, which is a pretty nice number considering the handset has only been available since April 2009, or just about four months.
The news is coming by way of a DigiTimes report;
“Chou also revealed that sales of HTC’s second Android-powered smartphone, the HTC Magic, have surpassed one million units since the device was launched in late April 2009.”
Additionally, Chou also spoke in reference to how HTC has plans to focus on mid-range smartphones ($300 price range) for the remaining portion of 2009.

It's a decent handset and introduction to the Android OS for the most of us. Of course, the G1 went by unnoticed by many however, this handset and its marketing has been more effective. Of course, the design has evolved and the apps market grows stronger by the minute. A new way of working and living for me. No doubts. Perhaps less useful for the less googlised…
And when the HERO ROM is made available to keep magic users appeased…
So how about it?
I think the idea is good but you need to modify it a little.
