Android-based Dell Mini 3i smartphone gets outed at China Mobile Market launch event

The rumored Android-based Dell smartphone has become official. The handset, which is the Dell Mini 3i was recently on display and photographed during the launch event for China Mobile’s new Application Platform.

Anyway, aside from a nice looking phone (at least based on what we can tell from the three images) the handset appears to have what I would describe as a mediocre set of features. To begin with, the Dell Mini 3i has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with a 360 x 640 resolution, a 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and a 950mAh battery. Granted, that alone does not sound bad, however the Mini 3i is missing Wi-Fi as well as 3G support, in other words the data connectivity is limited to 2G GSM speeds.

As of now, although the handset has been officially unveiled, there was still not any mention as to when China Mobile customers can expect the Mini 3i to become available, or how much it will cost.
