We already knew that the HTC Hero was not going to be available with T-Mobile here in the US, however T-Mobile UK is another story. It seems that they will be releasing the handset and it will be dubbed the T-Mobile G2 Touch.
Of course, aside from the name, which while better than the myTouch 3G is still a little on the strange side. Anyway, according to T-Mobile UK, customers can expect to see the G2 Touch “later this month.”
Additionally, for any customer that is willing to sign an 18-month contract with at least a £40 monthly Flext tariff the G2 Touch will be free, which is certainly better than the $199 that US based T-Mobile customers are having to pay for the pleasure of owning the myTouch 3G.

Funny how I can get a €25,- monthly tariff with unlimited internet access and also get the phone for free. (That's around £25,-)
But thats the Netherlands.
