Sometimes we have to take the good news with the bad news, and yesterdays myTouch 3G announcement seems to have been just that. While the myTouch 3G, albeit a little on the expensive side, seems like a handset to look forward to, T-Mobile also confirmed that they have no plans to launch the HTC Hero.
According to T-Mobile USA’s CTO Cole Brodman, T-Mobile;
“has no plans to bring the HTC Hero to market”
Of course, depending on which carrier is currently your favorite, that could be considered good news or bad news. It may be bad news for current G1 users that were hoping to update to the Hero, but for those on AT&T it may be considered good news because if you remember back a few days ago, we saw the HTC Hero pass through the FCC with what were AT&T frequency bands.
That said, this is far from official, but it would be nice to see Android become available with other US carriers.
