As of now, Google Checkout is the only option Android Market users (and developers) have in terms of completing a purchase, but it appears as if that is going to be changing.
Coming from a recent Google announcement, a future Android update will add support for “multiple billing systems.” Personally, Google Checkout has worked well for me in the past, but I suppose more options are always a nice thing to have.
So far, Google has not specifically mentioned which options would be available, aside from how they are going to allow T-Mobile customers to have their purchases billed to their regular monthly bill.
Otherwise, I think it may be safe to think that we will at least see an option for PayPal considering its online popularity. As of now, Google has not yet announced when these additional payment options will be available, aside from the general comment relating to a future update.
As a current Android user, I think I would most likely just stick with Google Checkout, but the direct bill option does sound nice.
